29th Annual Oak Park Complex Celebration

What: 28th Anniversary Oak Park Complex Multicultural Celebration and Parade

When: Saturday October 4, 2008. Parade begins at 11:00am near Alhambra and Broadway ends at the Oak Park Complex 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Noon – 4:oo pm Festivities include music, awards, children activities, public information tables, craft & food vendors, health fair and more.

Who: Fun for all ages this is a drug free event. Parents bring your kids, kids bring your parents, grandparents bring your grand kids, neighbors bring your neighbor, ok you get it right!! We need spectators and people and supporters.

Where: In the heart of Oak Park at the Oak Park Complex, 3425 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Why: To bring out all the positive talents of the community. We will be showcasing a community working together to have a day of community fun. CBO’s, city, county, schools, youth, seniors and many more.

How Can you get involved: Become a member of one of the committees (vendors, children’s activities, entertainment, volunteers, program, media, parade & sponsor). Encourage participants, include information in your newsletters, posters, meetings, hand out flyers, donate and attend the event. Be in the parade with your organization. Share your ideas and suggestions. Purchase a vendor spot (non profits get a discount). Donate items from your business to support this multicultural family event. There are many ways to get involved.
