Drugs In Movies Awards
Lights! Camera! Action! The stars were out in full force for the 2nd Annual Drugs In Movies Awards. On January 25th, the Guild Theater sparkled as students from Sacramento County's YouthWORKS program lined up to see their favorite student stars decked out in tuxedos and gowns donated by Country Club Plaza's Tuxedo Den and Cinderella's Closet on Fair Oaks Boulevard. Awards were given to actors, actresses, and movies that depicted teen life without drug use, while worst actor, actresses, and movie distinctions were also named. With amazing performances by the Sacramento High 34th Street Dance Company and other YouthWORKS students, over 100 students, parents, and spectators were on hand to celebrate this wonderful event!
